Morocco Photo Workshop
A week of food, travel, portraits, lifestyle, and anything else you would like to learn about photography in Essaouira, Morocco.
September 10th - 16th
Max 8 Participants
There is a city on Morocco’s Atlantic edge where the wind has been shaping things for centuries: stone, light, desire, and the particular patience of fishermen who have learned to wait. Essaouira smells of salt, charcoal, and fresh-caught sardines. The medina walls glow blue-white in the morning. Its souks overflow with preserved lemons, spices, and olives, and its Atlantic light is unlike anything else on earth. Morocco is a place I have returned to many times, and each visit reminds me why I picked up a camera in the first place.
Unlock your creative potential through the lens in Morocco’s most cinematic coastal town.

Local Ambassador
Delighted to partner with Sanaa Boutayeb, a Moroccan storyteller, trained cook and filmmaker whose love for Morocco runs deep and whose life has taken her across continents. She grew up in Morocco and understands instinctively what makes Moroccan food and daily life so visually alive. As our local ambassador, she will take us to eat where locals eat and photograph the Morocco that hasn’t become a hashtag.
“I learned how to love and respect food through Sanaa. I think of her whenever I host, whenever I peel a vegetable, because she taught me to do it with intention. Her dinner parties have been warm, and unforgettable. Through food, Sanaa explores belonging, memory, and the quiet beauty of a life well lived. I stayed at her dreamy coastal hideaway, secluded among Berber treasures and greens from her garden, where her exquisite taste touches every corner…”

The Villa
Our villa sits on a hillside above the Atlantic, overlooking a village, close enough to Essaouira to feel the pull of the medina, far enough to feel the quiet. Facing southwest, with exceptional views over the ocean, the sunsets here are breathtaking.
The villa holds five sea-view suites for our exclusive use, each uniquely decorated in Moroccan Berber style. Accommodation is shared between two. All meals are prepared by our private chef. Long dinners with good conversation are very much part of the program. The villa will be our home for the week, one that happens to have extraordinary light at every hour of the day.
